She plans to return to FSMS in late October of 2014. In the meantime, Ms. Rhonda White will be the long term sub for her classes. |
Christina Carpenter has been teaching in Midlothian at FSMS since the fall of 2013 and previously taught for five years at Arlington ISD's Sam Houston High School in the Technology Applications department since the fall of 2008. Though she is a new teacher in Midlothian, this experience is much like returning home for her, as she graduated from Midlothian HS in 2003. Prior to her experience at Sam, she taught Social Studies in Garland ISD. Ms. Carpenter earned her Bachelor of Science degree from East Texas Baptist University in May of 2007, majoring in Social Studies and Education. While studying at ETBU, Ms. Carpenter worked for the Public Relations department on the Student Publications staff, serving as a yearbook designer and photographer, which helps vastly in her graphic design and multimedia studies today.
Outside of enjoying her work at FSMS, Mrs. Carpenter loves spending time with her family, especially with her husband Cliff, who is also a Midlothian grad, their new daughter, and their two dogs, Holly & Pearl, who are full blood sister Schnorkies, two years apart! Mrs. Carpenter also regularly practices photography and graphic design. |
